Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* There is a cold front headed our way, and they say tomorrow is going to be windy, cold and wet.
* Most of you know what has been on my mind. David. So I will update about him for now. As of 8am this morning, his gall bladder issues seem to be under control. His count was down from 1400 to 300. That was a blessing to hear. As of now, no surgery there. Today they are going to do a bedside procedure to insert the feeding tube directly into the small intestine. That will bypass the lap band, which seems to have been giving him some problems with blockage of the feeding tube. He still has no feeling from about the nipple line down. He is currently diagnosed as a "level 3" spinal cord injury. Google "level 3 spinal cord injury" if you want to know exactly what that means. There are variations of the levels, and level 3 isn't one of the easier ones to overcome. But, we remain faithful that he can overcome this with Gods help.
* Jo Anna, Davids girlfriend is flying in this evening to sit with him overnight. W-spouse and I are leaving early tomorrow morning and I will sit with him Saturday night. W-sister is coming down on Sunday to sit with him Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday.
* I got to hear his voice yesterday for the first time since before the accident. While they were doing respiratory therapy on him, he is able to speak ever so briefly, and Uncle James held the phone up to his ear so he could tell me to be careful and that he loved me. Yep....that got to me.
* A friend that had previously refused to sign up for Facebook did just that yesterday. He got flamed pretty hard all day, via text and on FB. Fun times!
* This is terrible. I can't make any sense of it, and I'm sure no one else can either.
* My cousin flew to Houston last Saturday morning for $20.38 on Spirit Airlines. Crazy cheap.
* It costs nearly that much in gas to drive from his house to the airport.
* I had ordered wheel spacers and a Highlifter kit for the Teryx4 prior to the events of last week. Actually, they arrived the day I left for Houston last week. I finally got to install the wheel spacers on Wednesday. Yesterday, W-daughter #2 came over and helped me install the lift kit. We had a great time together, and we READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, which made the install go fast and smooth. When W-spouse got home, all loaded up, with Sophie and went riding around the Hood in it. It handles better. It steers better, and most of all it feels much more stable while turning at high speed.

When you click on the picture to enlarge you can see the lift installed. The gold looking brackets below the shocks.

Stretching the suspension out.

* I was amazed at how much different it really felt and how much higher the seats felt getting in and out.
* In the bottom picture, W-spouse was sitting on the downhill side in the backseat, and she was not liking the feeling of leaning at all. I thought it was fun. Just saying!
* Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for all the prayers and offers of assistance for David.
* Have a great weekend, see ya Around The Corner!
