Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was a cool 63 degrees on the ride over to Ponder this morning. It feels amazing.
* I worked two days in a misty, steady rain last week and didn't complain about it on here. Take notice of that.
* W-spouse held up very good yesterday. I still expect reality to set in at some point and for her to have a sit down good cry. Which might happen when she gets back to work today and all her peeps start consoling her. She usually plays mother hen to all the younger girls that work with her. Today they might need to swap roles.
* W-stepson was calm, cool and collective yesterday. He may have been more nervous than he let on to be, but after we all sat there waiting for so long, I think he was just ready to get out of the building.
* At work, I have issues handling change. This week, a lot of changes are taking, or have already taken place.
* Thanks to Richard for covering for me yesterday.
* Come to think of it, I probably have issues with ANY change. I like it when things just roll along smoothly.
* Sunday morning as we walked in the door of the church, I was approached and asked to be a member of the Praise and Worship team. NO....Not to sing, but to assist in running the sound board.
* Some changes are taking place at our church also. Say a prayer for Central Fellowship please.
* W-mom is doing good. She is getting around without the walker and is steadily getting her strength back. She is still having some nerve pain in her leg, but that is getting better every day.
* Sophie update: She loves to destroy a roll of toilet paper. Three in the last week. One yesterday in the back bathroom and one last night in the master bathroom while we slept.
* This morning I was awaken by the sound of W-spouse scolding her. It went like this: "Sophie, that's a baaadd girl. Don't you run away from me. SOPHIEEEE, GET BACK IN HERE. SOPPHHIIEEEEEEEE."
* That made me LOL.
* Group text over the weekend: I laughed, cried and rolled my eyes a few times. Those peeps make it really hard to be serious at times.
* I added a Doug Stone album to my ITunes collection over the weekend. That brought back some memories. Especially this song.
* I may have sang that song a few times at a Karaoke bar.
* Check out Blackberry Smoke. Some of you will like, some won't. If you have either listened to, or attended a Train concert in the last month, you probably won't. **wink wink**
* I just got caught up watching YouTube videos of 70,80 and 90's country music. The last 45 minutes.
Rednecks With Paychecks was this past weekend. Obviously, we couldn't attend, but you can catch up some great mudding, jumping and hill climbing videos on their Facebook page.
* Time to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

Oh, HA! That Blackberry stuff isn't bad....and I'll forgive that dreadful squirrelly fuzzle-beard on the lead singer. Because Train's Patrick Monaghan lost his mullet since last year [whew!].

That song on the website is pretty good....=)

Can Sophie do a better job at destroying a roll of toilet paper than you?

i don't like change much either. my life used to revolve around change... the ol gypsy soul and all that. but these days, since the beast settled in, things are much better with routine...

i wish we could get some of that cool weather y'all are having! we are still in the upper 90's mostly... bleh... life in the valley i suppose.
