From The Corner Of My Mind

* The temperatures over the weekend were spectacular. Oh how i wished it would remain like this year round.
* I spent Saturday working. I spent Sunday playing and taking care of W-mom. I got up yesterday morning and jumped in the shower and got dressed for church. At the last minute I decided I wasn't going to church this morning. I just wanted to go riding the Teryx and clear my thoughts.
* I text W-daughter #2 and asked her if she wanted to go. I picked her up and we decided to go to Northwest OHV park in Bridgeport.
* We arrived shortly after 10am and there were already quite a few rigs out there climbing. We immediately went into video camera mode with the GoPro and caught some great rock climbing action.
* During one of the climbs, a guy (Wade/Wayne?) don't remember, had climbed a steep set of rocks and I asked him if W-daughter could ride along and he said "sure, jump in". I didn't see them again for the next hour or so. She had the best time of her life riding it around in his Toyota Truggy. That thing was a beast also. It would climb anything. It was super low geared and had some ginormous tires.
* Thanks Wade/Wayne for letting her ride along.
* There were 8-10 rigs in the group climbing and I helped spot for them a few times on the different lines they chose through the maze of boulders. I also caught some great video that as of this morning hadn't finished loading on YouTube. They should all be through by noon today and you can find them on my YouTube channel link over on the right.
* After we went to the park I went over and spent some time with W-mom so that Papa harold could get out of the house for a while. It was brought to my attention yesterday that he hadn't left Moms side since she came home from the hospital and he needed to get out for a while. He was reluctant, but with a little encouraging he went and visited a friend at the hospital and then made his way out to the lakehouse for a while.
* I just received a call that US 380 is shut down both ways at the Wise/Denton county lines due to a major gas line being cut. I'm safe, thanks for checking!!
* The group text comes and goes. Sometimes it's nonstop banter, sometimes it's just silence for a few days.
* NASCAR: I am stunned that Jeff Gordon made it into the Chase. I was hoping that he would NOT so that we didn't have to listen to all the hoopla about it. Well, at least now I can give all those crazy, disturbed, physcotic individuals that worship him crap for the rest of the year.
* The race Saturday night/Sunday morning may have been the latest race I ever watched due to 3 different rain delays and multiple caution flags.
* RPM. Can you believe it? Two Fords in the Chase.......Awesome!
* If Gordon wins (slim chance), I might have to go bury my head in the sand for a year.
* If you followed along on Facebook Saturday night and saw me giving the Gordon fans a hard time, you probably laughed. If you could have read all the texts I received at 1:30 am in the morning after Gordon made the Chase, you would have really laughed.
* I need to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

Be careful of Jeff Gordon, He seemed to have some supernatural weather knowledge when he stopped and got those fresh tires. It was a plus that he knocked out KB. The important thing is that TS is in the chase and can now make it two in a row.

How many of those rain shortened races did Jeff Gordon have to win to get in "The Chase"?...oh...just one? Well, how many races did he have to drive well in to qualify?...oh...what?...Who are you telling to shut up?!

Mr Abswers, are you a closet NASCAR/Gordon fan? You seem to know the stats well, or did you steal that from ESPN?

First, you need to cut back on the wine, it's Answers not Abswers. Second, the "closet" is not big enough to hold all the slightly off kilter NASCAR fans (i.e. a car sponsored by Viagra? Really? Just too many ways to go with that one but can't because this is a family blog). Only in NASCAR could Viagra be a sponsor. They could not sponsor a pro team (i.e. basketball, baseball, football, etc.) because what would be their mascot?
