* It was hot again yesterday, but from what the forecasters are predicting, cooler weather is in store for the weekend.
* This rain has been amazing. For the first time since early July I turned OFF the water sprinklers and the soaker hoses in the flower beds.
* Now people, DON'T run outside today and start burning brush piles and trash barrels. The pastures, fields and grass are still dry and very flammable. This rain has only made it harder on the firefighters to reach a fire if it starts, because now the fields are soft and muddy.
* I have been in a continuing/ongoing/crazy/funny and sometimes sad group text for well over a year now. There are still 4 of the original 5 that started it. We have added two more since then making it 6. 6 people in a group text can sometimes be confusing, but most of the time it's outright hilarious.
* I finished reading The Harbinger. It's a must read if you are a believer. I don't recommend The Marketing Of Evil though. It is my opinion only that only thirty percent of the book is factual, the rest is the opinion of the author. The part that he goes in to about abortion will leave you in tears. It did me.
* It is nice to have our Teryx4 back at home finally. Yesterday I changed the oil, oil filter, air filter in the engine and changed the oil in the front and rear final drives.
* This afternoon I plan on fabricating a winch plate and installing it on the Teryx. I then need to fabricate some hangers for the ramps on the trailer. Lot's of plans...we will see.
* This morning around 3am I was awaken with a cramp in my right calf muscle. I set straight up screaming. I scared the crap out of her I suppose because she wasn't none to happy about the whole screaming thing. Just so you understand, it is now over 4 hours later and I can barely walk on it. It still hurts.
* Yes, I drank Gatorade yesterday and also had a banana last night, and I can't even count how many bottles of water I drank, so don't start telling me that I'm dehydrated.
* W-spouse is going out of town this weekend. I'm going to take the Teryx4 up to Bulcher and ride around. I've never been up there, but everyone says it a lot of fun and way better than Rocky Ridge.
* Any of you peeps out there have an old wheel laying around that will fit my trailer? 5 hole?
* Update on Kayla: Not much change. They have taken her off the vent for now, and she is breathing on her own. It is my understanding that plans are being made for a long term facility to take care of her. Prayers please.
* I think my Facebook was hacked. Yesterday I started receiving notifications that people had approved my friend requests. I never sent any friend requests. All told, 17 people were added yesterday. I blocked more than half of them back. Shut it Jarhead, we know how you feel about Facebook.
* I hope your day is blessed, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Glad she is back home! Also very thankful for the rain! I got a notification about a week ago telling me that someone in New Jersey had tried to log into my facebook...I had to change my password and haven't had any trouble again...except for that I keep forgetting I changed my password...love you have a good day!
oh how i loathe those types of cramps... one would think that living with them day in and day out would allow some tolerance... i'm here to tell you it just ain't so!
i had the same problem with stupid FB the other day... must be something going around...
If you get leg cramps at night drink some Tonic Water. The quinine stops leg cramps. All it takes is a good swig once a day. You can cut the taste with gin or vodka if you like. I swear on a stack of Bibles that's exactly what my Dr. told me and it works. I used to wake up with horrible foot cramps in the middle of the night... no more.
There's FB hackers now?? Ugh. People must be getting awfully bored.....
Group text = can you believe we've been running for so long? Interesting dichotomy.
So sorry about your friend.
@RPM, wow! That's interesting!
When you do get the cramp get out of bed and put your weight on the ball (toe/upper portion) of your foot. Works every time for me. You wouldn't believe how fast I can move out of bed and on to my foot when a cramp hits. Just don't break your neck when you get all tangled up in sheets/comforter.
We sure could use some of that rain around here. Hope your calf muscle is ok now. Prayers for your friend ongoing. Try not to get in too much trouble this weekend. We are looking forward to being with W & C, but will be missing you. Mo
I had a hellacious charlie horse in my left calf early Sunday morning. That hasn't happened to me in 15 years, I'd wager.
I squealed like a little girl.
Must have been dehydrated or something.
