From The Corner Of My Mind

**EDIT** Epic, send me your email please.
**EDIT 2** I'm gonna turn off word verification again, but if I get slammed with spam emails again I will have to turn it back on. I agree, it's a PITA but it keeps me from going through 50-60 emails a day that are spam.

* It was a cool 47 degrees on the drive over this morning. Temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 80s by the end of the week.
* Saturday when I got off work I ran to the rental place and rented a post hole digger. It was used to drill holes for the swingset/playhouse/activity center that we are building in the back yard. From this day forward we will refer to it as project "Destroy The Backyard". Or DTB.
* We ordered a 10' wave slide, swings, a 2 person glider swing, and rocks for a rock climbing wall. I am building the monkey bars and a 6' x 6' deck that the climbing wall and slide will attach to.
* I only needed to drill 5 holes. Well, let me say, that was the original plan until W-spouse got home and started changing the plans we had made. I now need to drill at least one more hole. Maybe two.
* Let me throw a little plug out here. There is a hole digger at Cobb Rental that you pull behind your vehicle. When you get where you are going, you unhook from it and take a pin out and the neck drops off. You then pin the auger on it, push it up to the hole (which is a very easy one man operation), start it and drill away. There is very hard caliche soil about 6 inches under our topsoil in the backyard. That is why I didn't dig them by hand, and rented a digger. The digger worked flawlessly and I actually had the holes drilled faster than it took to drive to the rental place and pick the digger up. It is also priced very reasonable and I found it to be well worth it. Except I have to dig at least one more.....by hand.
* Yesterday morning, we all attended Central Fellowship. Our pastor and his wife were away for the weekend and Mr Answers taught our Bible Class, where he revealed to us that he watched Oprah. I was seated next to him in class and immediately asked if I could move across the room. After listening to his revelation, and his reason for watching, we decided he could keep his man card. Mr Answers, that was a good class and each time that you teach us, you challenge us to think, most of the time, way outside the box. I love you Brother!
* I received a message from someone that needed to get a message to Mr Answers. Seems he didn't have his email address but figured that I did. I forwarded the message to him. Mr Answers had coached his son in the past, and this son had just received a remarkable acheivement award and he wanted Mr Answers to see it.
* Mr Answers, thanks for all your time dedicated to those kids over the years. For most of them, it paid off.
* After church, W-spouse and I went over to the OHV park in the Jeep. We rode around for about three hours. She even drove down a few trails and even manipulated a very steep, off camber slope all on her own. I was very proud of her and told her so. She is getting more confident in the Jeep and its ability to maneuver the terrain. I will try to post a video later (I'm in a bad area) that shows me nearly rolling end over end. I was easing the front end off of a very steep rock ledge and had gone down this very trail about a month ago. Seems that it had either been cut out, or washed out from the rain since then. When I dropped off the edge, the right  front tire went WAY down. So far in fact that the left rear tire came way off the ground and the whole rear of the Jeep got light for a brief second or so. I immediately let off the brake and blipped the throttle enough to bring it back down. It goes without saying that it made me nervous. After watching the video, I know why.
* On the way home we stopped by and played with Madison for a while and I helped Papa Harold fix the bumper on his brand spanking new John Deere lawn mower. WHAT? Fix the bumper? How did the bumper get dented on a BRAND NEW lawn mower? No, I didn't do it. No, W-baby momma didn't do it. No, W-mom didn't do it. The lawn mower is one of those hydrostatic drive mowers that you push a pedal down to make it go forward and it also has a brake on the opposing side. Seems Papa was pulling up to the building and his "Old Timers" kicked in. He pushed down on the wrong pedal and used the side of the building to stop his forward motion. He called me and told me the story where I could hear W-mom laughing in the background. Papa didn't find it any more amusing as I did when the wet Labradoodle jumped in the bed with me at 4am. He did ask if I could stop by and help him get the bumper bent back into shape and put back on the mower. I went out to the building when we got there and had the bumper put back on in 5 minutes. Seems he was so angry about denting his new mower that he was trying to put the bumper back on upside down. Now Papa Harold is one of the most patient men in the world and it usually takes a whole lot to get him stirred up, but, I would have loved to have caught that lawn mower crashing into the building on the first day that he unloaded it off the trailer. Papa, right side is hydrostatic, left side is the brake!
* Have a great Monday, see ya Around The Corner!

It was not Hard Heavy's fault with the mower. Obviously some idiot designed it with the brake on the wrong side. The right side is the right side for a brake pedal. I would think NOT running into something would show a lack of experience. : )>
( the graphic things below are getting harder and harder to decipher. Is that a v or a c between the t and h )

Thanks for the kind words. I am blessed to have you as a friend and brother. I agree with Rather. Get rid of the graphics verification. It is a pain in the butt.

I feel your pain with word verification. I've had to turn it on a couple times myself. Nothing worse than 20 spam mails a day. The good news is after a couple weeks you can usually turn it back off.

Good luck!

I would bet $100 with 10-1 odds that you did not call dig test....
