* Beautiful cool April morning. Not a cloud in the sky.
* I am back at work today. Same thing, just a different day.
* Yesterday I spent all day working in the kitchen and living room putting the finishing touches on things and installing all the new matching hinges, switches, electrical outlets and wall plates. I mean....all day. I finished after 8:30pm last night.
* There were three cabinet doors that W-spouse wanted rain glass installed in, so I took them down and headed out to the building to get my router out that I hadn't used in 10 years. Of course it was still mounted to the router table. I took it off the table and tried to adjust it, it was froze up. I worked with it for an hour trying to free it up with no luck. Off to Lowes where I purchased all the hardware, hinges and outlets and also a new Bosch Palm Router. I also picked up a new bit because I couldn't find any of mine.
* I got it all set up and routed out a place on the backside of the cabinet doors for the glass to fit in to. On the last one, the router snagged a piece of wood and chipped part of the door on a very thin spot. I got all of them done without any more damage. I had told W-spouse prior to this that it wasn't going to be easy because it was very thin where she wanted to put the glass and problems could arise. I looked everywhere on the ground and couldn't find the piece that flew out to glue it back on.
* The glass guy showed up and he and I installed the glass and I then installed all the cabinet doors back in to place. The broken piece stuck out like a sore thumb and I knew that W-spouse wasn't going to be happy.
* Later in the evening after finishing everything back up and while picking my tools up outside where I had used the router, I look down and find the missing piece. I went back in the house and it matched perfectly. I found some wood glue and put it back in to place and you cant even tell it was broken now. Score!
* You can see the missing piece in that picture in the center door, upper right hand corner.
* As you can see in that picture, that above the cabinets we have a rail and a void to place things way up there. All it does is collect dust. W-spouse and I have came up with another plan. We are going to remove that rail and add hard board, and then tile it with matching tile and then crown moulding next to the ceiling.
* I still have some hinges, switches and electrical outlets to change in the spare bathroom, but it can be done a little each night.
* I had been so busy that I didn't even stop for lunch yesterday and just about the time I got finished last night, the neighbors came over for a visit. Needless to say, supper came very late last night.
* Did I mention that it's a beautiful day?
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

Thank you so much for doing the cabinet doors. I love them. And the hinges make such a difference! You can do anything, and I'm a lucky woman to have you.
