Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It's very foggy out there this morning. Be careful and drive slow. Over here near Alliance airport it is nearly zero visibility. Looking out my windshield I can barely see the opposite end of this location. That is about 40 yards.
* We had Easter services in 3D (complete with glasses) yesterday morning at Central Fellowship. Unfortunately the computers crashed just minutes before the service started.. Our pastor never skipped a beat, he just flowed right through with his sermon. All the planning he had prepared weeks for went by the wayside in less than a second. He stood strong and delivered one of the best sermons I have ever heard.
* We had our family Easter with the kids and grand kids on Saturday at our house. The painters were there finishing up, but we all just worked around each other and had a great time. I went to bed Friday night with a pulled muscle in my back and W-spouse woke up Saturday morning sick with a head cold. Saturday, W-mom and Papa H, and the kids got everything ready for lunch and W-stepson #1 grilled the burgers.
* We then hid eggs for the grand kids and watched them find them on the new grass in the backyard. When everyone left, W-spouse and I both collapsed. I even took a muscle relaxer, something I rarely do because certain drugs really mess with my mind, and W-spouse took some cough medicine and we both were asleep by 8pm.
* Sunday after church we both felt better and found the strength to clean up after the renovation and get everything back into place.
* The kitchen and bathroom turned out better than either of us ever expected. After taking the dividing wall out between the kitchen and dining room it made that area seem twice as large now that everything is back in place. We still need to change out some drawer pulls and hinges to complete the project.
* In the one picture you can see where I removed the wood from the inside of three of the cabinet doors. W-spouse has ordered rain glass for those doors. When it arrives I will router the inside of the doors for the glass to fit and place the glass inside.
* I also changed out two lights in the hall and entry way. One light in the dining room. Two lights in the bathroom, and one light over the sink. Also the six that were previously added to the kitchen ceiling.
* We changed out two faucets in the bathroom and one at the kitchen sink.
* We didn't find matching tiles for the floor where the wall was removed, but opted to lay something that was close in color. We will cover it with a small floor rug. It really does not look that bad, but it is noticeable.
* We also had the granite guys add a piece of granite to the bottom of the kitchen window and tiled the sides with matching tiles from the back splash. This created a small problem. The original window blinds won't fit there now because we narrowed the width. Any opinions? Possibly a custom made blind? Or just leave it without a blind?
* I had a three day weekend and hardly ever stopped moving.
* Well folks, it's race week at Texas Motor Speedway. Today we will get the camper ready. Tonight and tomorrow night we will get packed and ready for the move out on Wednesday morning. W-spouse and I are both off Wednesday-Sunday. I hope she gets a shot today so she will feel better the rest of the week.
* I took over the top spot in the NASCAR fantasy league and have held that spot for two weeks only because they didn't race this weekend. As bad as it will pain me to do this, I think my pick for this week will be Jeff Gordon. More often than not he does well at TMS and I want to stay in first place.
* It drives me nuts for people to give play by play of the Rangers on Facebook. Some of us don't give a crap till they are in the playoffs and I'm pretty sure that the ones that do, are already keeping up with it on the radio or TV.
* I'm gonna start giving lap by lap of every race on Facebook for the NASCAR races.
* Have a great day folks, see ya Around The Corner!

From yesterday....[when stupid #^$%ing word verification hung me up]:

That is FUNNY! I say flood FB w/NASCAR updates...I hate the play-by-play snooze fest of Cowboy/Maverick/Rangers' updates too. ;-)

Thanks Wendell for throwing the tech guy under the bus for Sunday's "failure to launch". Needless to say, it will take me a long time to get over this one. 4 days later it still stings--- Have fun time this weekend --
