* A cool 46 degrees when I left this morning. Cooler later in the week with a chance of rain Wed-Thursday.
* I took off this weekend to attend the men's breakfast at church on Saturday morning. Only eight of us showed up, but I felt it was the best meeting we have had to date.
* After lunch on Saturday, W-spouse and I went riding out at the OHV park. We took Sophie the Labradoodle with us. She got car sick twice in the backseat and once when we got back home. She also jumped out the back once while we were easing down a trail. W-spouse scolded her and she never did that again.
* When we stop to watch others climb the rocks or trails, we keep her on a leash. She makes friends with everyone that we encounter. They never fail to ask what make/brand/model she is.
* Yesterday most of our family met at Waco at the Heitmiller Steak house. The in-laws came from the Austin area, and us and our children all came from this area. There were 20 of us in attendance. A wonderful meal, and an even better birthday cake was had by all.
* My brother -in-law and I talked Jeep during the meal and caught up on happenings with all the kids. For him to be a lawyer with absolutely nothing in common with me, he's a great guy that is easy to talk to. And, he owns a Jeep and wants so bad to take it off road. Something he hasn't gotten to do yet, so he liked hearing of our tales on the trail.
* We celebrated birthdays of five family members, all within a month of each other.
* We left the restaurant and went to a city park on the bank of the river and let the grand kids play so that they wouldn't be fussing on the ride home. They climbed rock walls, played on the swings and ran around. That my friends, was a good day.
* W-spouse and I stopped by West on the way home and bought some Kolaches to bring back. We hardly ever fail to stop by that place. It was busier there yesterday as I have ever seen it. I waited 20 minutes for W-spouse to get our order and check out.
* I listened to the race at Phoenix on the ride home. Denny Hamlin in the #11 FedEx Toyota won, edging out Kevin Harvick at the end because Harvick ran out of fuel on the last lap.
* I had picked Denny Hamlin this week in my fantasy league. That puts me at 74 points, near the top of the leader board. My cousin has picked the winner in the first two races. He's winning right now with 96 points. We play for the first 13 races. A long way to go.
** Fantasy league results put me in 7th place**
* Have a great Monday, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

I pick Smoke every time and we aren't doing too well in the standings.

The Big Boy and I saw a black Jeep w/scuba thing on 114 over the weekend. I told him it was kind of like yours (it was a MomPooling size) and that you're rock climbing in it now. He let a big, "Cool! I like Mr. & Mrs. Corner...they're nice."
Don't we all??!! xo
Sophie sounds like a sweetie, I'm sorry she got carsick! Hope it wasn't too big a mess. Sounds like you had a great Sunday dinner! I'm pretty sure it's a crime to travel through West and NOT stop for Kolaches. Does Sophie get one?
