* A beautiful morning. Temps in the low 80s today.
* Yesterday evening I went home and needed to move all the limbs that I had cut off the tree in the backyard. I hooked up the winch cable on the Jeep and wrapped it around the base of a bunch of them and drug them to the front yard. It took three trips to clear every limb. That was a lot easier than dragging them by hand all the way to the front.
* On one of the trips, the neighbor across the street came running across and thought that I was in a bind. I was letting the winch line out and maneuvering into a position to drag them all up in to a big pile. When I showed him what the winch could do, he was amazed. Easy to entertain folks.
* I have one more smaller tree to cut down. Then I have to call the city of Decatur to come remove the limbs. Wonder how long that will take? Last time, the limbs laid there for two weeks. I finally called the mayor and asked him if there was an issue. The limbs were removed THAT day.
* On to the important things. Yesterday, NASCAR brought down the wrath on Chad Knaus and Jimmy Johnson. $100,000 fine for Chad Knaus and a 6 race suspension for him and the car chief. Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon were docked 25 driver points and 25 owner points respectively. Yes, Jeff Gordon owns the #48 car driven by Jimmy Johnson.
* NASCAR has warned teams repeatedly in the past that fines and penalties would ramp up, especially for repeat offenders. This is Chad Knaus third strike and they handed down a hefty fine and penalty. As of this morning, Team owner Rick Hendrick and his team have appealed the penalties and fines. NASCAR has agreed to arbitration. So no penalties or fines will be placed on the team till that is decided.
* If it holds up, Jimmy Johnson will start the race in Phoenix with negative 23 points, and Chad Knaus will not be sitting on top of the pit box for six weeks. That is nearly 1/5 of the whole season.
* Rick Hendrick has stated in the past that his name, nor his companies name will not be tarnished with infractions such as this. Do I think that he will fire Chad Knaus? No, but I do think that if Chad is found guilty, that Rick Hendrick may suspend him for a while, giving him time to think about this situation.
* It has just been reported that Roger Penske will part ways with Dodge after this season. It is said that he will pick up the Ford brand starting next season. Wow, now that's interesting.
* Whippersnapper? Didn't they use that back in the 1940-50s? Giggle
* I need to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Your neighbor is easy to entertain?.....hmmmm.....
To my father-in-law (now deceased) anyone younger than he was, was a whippersnapper.LOL
The points penalty is less than I thought. I thought I heard 100 points. THAT would have been a season killer in this new points system.
Penske was Ford before switching to Dodge. They were the last man standing from Dodge's attempt to re-enter NASCAR. With no factory support, it was just a matter of time.
