The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* 50 degrees on the ride over this morning. 72 by the afternoon. I fear February.
* I sent a warm greeting to my group text this morning. I hope it made them smile and started their day off right.
* We have moved this morning to a location that is surrounded by houses. I can throw a rock and hit the house to the south of us. It's that close. This well was drilled 10 years ago, and they have built homes all around it.
* My sister is visiting from Iowa for a few weeks. Her and I cruised out to the lake in the Jeep yesterday. It was good visiting with her. She also had dinner with W-spouse and I last night, then we caught up on Shameless on TIVO. That show is......shameless.
* I started my day out by listening to Praise songs on my IPhone. Much better than depressing talk radio.
* I have taken a break from Sirius NASCAR radio for a,few weeks. We are less than 30 days away from dropping the green flag at Daytona. I'm sure by then I will be hungry for all things NASCAR. I am starting to have serious withdrawals. Enough so that I have watched a few old races online.
* W-baby momma kept Sophie yesterday while we went out to the lake. She fell in love with her.
* This morning when the alarm went off, Sophie sat up on the bed and started whining. W-spouse couldn't get her shoes on fast enough to get her outside and she wet a little on the floor. She's doing really well for 10 week old puppy. We put a fence up to keep her contained in the hallway during the day. She climbed right over it. So now we have borrowed a huge dog crate to keep her in during the day.
* That silly dog has already captured my heart. I swore that would never happen again. I'm such a softie.
* I've had Archie for the better part of 15 years. He still gets around good, but he can't see well, and is nearly deaf. He hates any other dogs. He hates anything new, including the grand kids. I dread the day I come home and he's gone.
* I hope y'all enjoy lunch at Julio's without me today. You know who you are.
* I got to love on both of the grand kids yesterday. That's always a good day in my opinion.
* W-spouse is doing the Jeep thing today. She loves it, but is to stubborn to admit it.
* People always quote the bible and say "All things work for the good of God". We may have witnessed that within our family in the last few days.
* Time to get to work. Thanks for stopping by, and unlike SOME other bloggers, I appreciate you reading and commenting here. I pray continually for you all. See ya Around The Corner!

Actually it is "All things work for the good of them who are called according to his purpose". Sometimes folks use "All things work for good of God" is not right. There are many things that happen that are not in God's will.

No need to thank me for my role as Mr. Corrector. lol

when my maggie died i had a horrible time of it.. she was my best friend, my family, my companion in those years after my daughter moved out and before coach... and when beulah came to us i said i wouldn't allow myself to get so attached to her.... alas, i am... i guess those of us who love animals as family can't avoid it....

so... tell me, do you know anyone in Boyd affiliated with the football program that might have any pull? coach applied and would be so grateful for an interview.... we'd love to get up that way.... pray for us!

Let me set the record straight ...
I like the jeep, alot. It's fun to ride in, even more fun to drive (today being my second time to take it to work! I'm just sayin!) But, the rock crawlin, bowel bumpin, butt puckering trails are NO fun at all. The next positive thing about it is the gbabies like riding in Papaws jeep.
I'm so thankful we got Sophie, she's so sweet.

....I appreciate readers and commentors too....you're not talkin' about me, right?? ;-)

And I'm HACKED about that one reader issue. Just saying.

I swore I'd never love another cat like I did my Baby Kitty. Pippin went and ruined all that.....[happy sigh]

xoxo -- love you, Man! [circa. Budweiser commercial]

Dawgs are the Debil. They make you love 'em, then die way before you're ready.
My bud had an old cow dog that when she started getting old he'd keep her around the house and not take out on the truck anymore. Her name was Sadie.
She discovered mom's chickens while she was fenced in and made their lives miserable by keeping them penned in the coop all day while my bud was out feeding and fencing etc.
She would see shadows (since she was going blind) of the chickens coming out of the pen and would bark at them and herd them back into the pen.
He tolerated it in spite of momma fussin' over her chickens wasting away over being terrorized by that blue heeler.
One evening after everybody assumed she might live for ever, she lay down by by the back door and went to sleep and never woke up.
