The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was 38 degrees this morning near Ponder. 3 hours later, it's now 61 and going to be in the 70s.
* Crazy weather for January.
* Here is a typical story for me. Yesterday morning I called O'reillys in Decatur and ordered a radiator for the Jeep. They said it would be in around 3:30pm. After getting off work I went and picked it up and took it home. Pulled it out of the box and immediately knew it was the wrong one. On the way back I called Autozone in Decatur and they said they had two of them on the shelf. I took the other one back to O'reillys and it took 20 minutes for them to figure out how to apply the credit back to my card. I finally made it across the street to Autozone, told them what I needed and they went to the back to find the two that they said they had. No luck. There were two in the system, but they couldn't find either. They said that there was one at the Bridgeport store, so after another thirty minutes searching, I told them to call The Bridgeport store and put their hands on it before I drove over there. They affirmed that they had it and I headed to Bridgeport. At the Bridgeport store they brought out the radiator and I took it out to make sure it was the right one. It was. When they rang it up on the cash register, the girl that checked me out said that the manager at the Decatur store told them to give me a discount. They gave me a $20 discount for my troubles and I headed back to Decatur. It took less than 15 minutes to install it back in the Jeep. But this is where the fun began. Remember from an earlier post I said that I was to be in Bridgeport to receive my 25 year pin? Well, now the time is getting late as I start to add the antifreeze back in to the radiator and purge the air out. I filled the radiator and started the engine and waited for the thermostat to open. When it did I immediately started adding fluid back in to replace what was displaced. It then started belching it all back out. I ended up losing all my antifreeze. I did this same procedure three times. I finally thought that I had it all purged and ready to roll. It is now 6:15pm and I need to be at Lodge by 7. I ran in and showered, changed clothes and jumped in the Jeep. I made it to Nearly McDonalds on 287 and I was watching the temperature gauge and it started getting hot. I killed it and called W-stepson #3 who was in town and he pulled me back home. I jumped in Black Beauty and made it to Lodge by 7. After the ceremony was over, I made it home and at 10pm I was back out there with a light trying to purge it again. It still wasn't taking the water into the engine as it should. I did the same procedure that I have done many times in the past so I must have another issue. A sticking thermostat perhaps? This evening I am going to pull the thermostat and while I have it off, I will put the cover back on without the thermostat and purge it that way. Hopefully when I remove the cover, most of the water will remain in the engine block and I can start over.
* Before you ask. Yes I had the heater on and at one point was getting hot air, so I know at that point it was circulating, but when I tried late last night, it wasn't.
* Got to get back to work, see ya Around The Corner!
