* That was a quick 5 days off. Seems like just yesterday that I got off for the first day.
* The weather is supposed to be magnificent this week. High temps in the mid 60s all week.
* I had a wonderful Christmas and everyone was so generous to me and my family. Thanks for everything. The time we spent with the children and grandchildren was priceless.
* I read the poem out loud that I wrote to my mother in law before she opened her present. Tears swelled in her eyes, causing me to get all choked up. She has her songs now.
* Our parents received IPads from their children this year. I had them basically set up and ready for use when they opened them. So far, they have caught right on to most functions of the device and amazingly, they are using them. Facetime seems to be one of the favorite apps, and my MIL has started Words With Friends with W-spouse and her son already.
* The grand kids made a haul. I don't know where their parents will keep everything, nor how they will ever wear all the clothes they got.
* As stated below, the games this year were fun and challenging. Not one complaint was heard from any of the nine players.
* W-spouse and I have been invited to numerous New Years parties this year. I'm guessing it's because they want her in attendance.
* This story on Christmas was shocking and sad.
* And again, I can't imagine being a police officer or paramedic and crashing the door down to find that.
* W-spouse just called me and she's going home early because of a light case load. Lucky girl. They will get slammed for the rest of the week.
* Facebook has helped catch a few crooks here and here.
* Time to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

What a fun, enjoyable Christmas we all had being with family & watching the 2 toddlers. I was totally shocked & thrilled to get our IPad. You are the best at thinking up games for the "kids" to play & that the grandparents got to judge. Thank you for all you do. Mo
