Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Snow, no snow, snow, no snow, snow, no snow. Tired of hearing about it already.
* Spent day one of my time off running, everywhere. Donut shop to buy donuts for the car wash guys, car wash, our office in Bridgeport,to the bank, stop by W-moms, played with Madison and visited Tiffany, to Walmart, to home, back to office in Bridgeport, back to bank, to Bridgeport Liquor store to restock wine supply (met a blog reader there), home, pick up W-spouse, deliver another gift, back to house to grab a bottle of wine, head to GoGo Gumbo but it was closed, Dos Chilis in Boyd, deliver another gift, head to JC Pennys, then Belks, then some child clothing store, head back to Decatur, then to Hibbets and Bealls, then back home, opened bottle of wine and collapsed.
* I was going to sleep in this morning, but was wide awake at 4:22 am. HUGE FAIL
* We have received 16 Christmas cards so far. My favorite so far came from Texas Motor Speedway.

* Yep, That's the 2011 Sprint Cup Champion car on the card!
* Great song.

* Mr. Answers wife sings this song with our Praise Team. If you have never heard her sing, you are missing one of Gods blessings. She sings with such raw emotion, and is so spirit filled that everyone in the room has tears in their eyes.
* W-spouse is the type of grandmother that says she has enough gifts for the grand kids. Then out of no where, she says "I think I want to get one more thing".  We are going to have to lease/rent/buy another storage building for everything we have bought them already.
* We always have the big kids participate in a game or a challenge for prizes at our family Christmas get together.  None of them ever know what it is till they get here. They are in for a big surprise this year because there might be some artistic ability involved.
* There WILL be pictures posted after the event.
* I'm considering two hunting leases next year. One is 6 hours northeast and the other 6 hours southwest. Leaning towards the south.
* Both are huge places and very family oriented. Exact opposites of each other as far as terrain is concerned. Deep piney woods vs south Texas brush country. Rattlesnakes vs bears.
* W-spouse and I have been in discussion over this for the past few days. I have left out the part about that I will be needing a new 4-wheeler. I DID NOT DO THAT INTENTIONALLY, maybe.
* Today we have to go buy groceries and things for the weekend.  I dread the Walmarts.
* It is my prayer that you find joy and peace with your family this Christmas, see ya Around The Corner!

I really enjoyed listening to the song. Can't wait to get to your house for Christmas...just hoping we can wade through all the presents to get inside. Mo

Maybe it's my personal connection with her but Tina's version of that song stirs me more than any other rendition by a long way. Again, I could be prejudiced.

One of my greatest blessings this year and one that I am so thankful for, is getting to know you and Whitney better. You guys are so real and thoughtful. Both of you rock.

I pray that God's richest blessings be poured out on you and your family.

You must have that 4-wheeler, as those deer are not going to walk out of the woods and hoist themselves into Black Beauty's bed.

So where is this lease northeast of you? My husband hunts near Big Sandy along the Sabine River. If you're ever out this way, let me know! Would love to see ya! And would love for you to meet my husband. You two have a lot in common. :) Have a Happy and Safe New Year, my friend!
