From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was clear as a bell and 36 degrees on the drive over to Ponder this morning. It's now so foggy you can't see across the location.
* The weary travelers made it to Las Vegas yesterday after driving west for the last two days. They took their time to get there while avoiding the blizzard conditions that was there a few days before they were. They reported to me from the floor of the MGM. All I could hear was "ding ding ding, bang, ding, coins falling into cups, ding ding, bang".
* There is a possibility that I may get to have the weekend off. That will be the first one since race week was here. I'm ready for that.
* I saw one of my Bridgeport friends at Walmart last night. Her personality, and mannerisms haven't changed any in the thirty years that I have known her. It was good to get to visit her. She has raised a son nearly on her own and he has grown into a very polite, nice gentleman. He never fails to speak or reach out and shake my hand any time he sees me out somewhere. The handshake is something that you don't see as much in the generation of young men growing up today.
* BREAKING NASCAR NEWS: It is being reported via Twitter that Darian Grubbs, former Championship winning crew chief for Tony Stewart that was released after the season, will be taking the reigns as crew chief at Joe Gibbs Racing for the Denny Hamlin car. The official announcement will be made later today.
* Yesterday I posted something on Facebook  to see what kind of reaction I got. It was hilarious. Some people even believed it.
* The group text message that I am a part of, just keeps getting better and better. It's a good thing that we all have unlimited texts on our phones or someone would be getting a huge phone bill.
* Christmas is closing in fast. For the first time in years, W-spouse and I have nearly everything purchased for Christmas.
* Some friends of ours have a really nice, nearly two year old Bull Mastiff that needs a good home. It is primarily an inside dog, and is house trained. They are having issues with it not getting along well with the other dogs. If interested, leave me a comment.
* Night before last, I didn't sleep but about two hours. Last night, I made up for that.
* Although I dreamed that we had to take the boat out, and I was pissed because I had to get it winterized again.
* Go get her Champ. Money hungry, that's what she is.....was.
* Only High Tone people will be interested in this. ;-)
* Bobcats in Frisco, that shouldn't be a surprise. That was all woods and pastures not so long ago.
* All week the the lady that walked into the propeller has been in the news. I bet every reporter is trying as hard as they can to get the first on camera interview with her.
