From The Corner Of My Mind

* The weather sucks if you have to be outside this morning. The forecast for the next 4-6 days isn't going to be much better either according to the forecasters.
* We had a huge scare at ATC last night. Around 8 pm I received a phone call from my mother in law explaining that my father in law was having some medical symptoms that at the time sounded like a stroke. I got a hold of W-spouse and she gave them a call and encouraged them to seek medical attention immediately. After waiting a few hours, and preparing to head to Austin, we got the call we had been waiting on. Seems he was having a reaction to some medicine that he was taking. PRAYERS ANSWERED again. Thank you Lord!
* Needless to say, W-spouse was in a near panic state while we waited to hear something. She felt helpless being 4 hours away, and so did I.
* If I was rich, I would purchase 5000 acres of land near here. I would build a house right in the middle for W-spouse and I to live in. Then build houses for moms and dads spotted around the place, then for the kids. Everyone would have their own secluded properties to live on and maintain. Everyone would be close enough to assist and visit quickly, but be far enough away as to not bother each other.
* No......It wouldn't be a David Koresh, Waco thing. Just a place for everyone to live peacefully and close enough to be able to see them on a regular basis.
* Have I mentioned that the weather sucks right now?
* A mutual friend of ours(mutual Internet friend) lost his job yesterday. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as he seeks new employment. I have no doubt that his resume boasts of many accomplishments, well earned and deserved, and he should be able to join the workforce again very soon.
* I purchased a Power Bracelet to wear for a while. I'm not shooting for any personal sporting ability gains. I'm trying to see if it helps with the normal aches and pains that I have all the time. Remind me to give you an update on whether on not it helps or is a scam.
* It seems like that each time I pick up my IPad2 that I find something new to use it for. I'm not big on playing games all the time because I get bored with those quickly, but the Sunday Lawn app is fun.
* For all the family on the Watson side, I won't be at Aunt Bonnie's Christmas tomorrow. I have to work, and W-spouse is on call. I think that is the first time I have missed that in many years.
* My company Christmas party is tonight. It is usually on Saturday night, but scheduling conflicts changed it to a Friday night this year. I won't be celebrating in the usual manner,so that when the alarm goes off at 5am tomorrow morning, I will be able to function normally.
* Some of you might say that I NEVER function normally. To you I say "shush".
* As I was watching the news last night, I thought that I saw our son on TV. I Immediately TIVOed  it  and replayed it 10 times and couldn't make myself believe it was him. I finally got W-stepson #3 to come in and watch it to verify it was him. It's posted below.
