Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was a cold 31 degrees on location this morning. Seems like yesterday it was 110 and I was griping about it being hot.
* I wasn't the only one.
* I don't see any problem with this. He has a point and a valid one at that.
* I worked through some of the 4 day weekend. We didn't get hardly anything done. The support teams in place to help us were not available on short notice. We waited and waited and waited and waited.
* W-spouse and I celebrated our 6th anniversary Saturday night at Red Lobster. The food was great and our waitress was one of the best that we ever had. She received a generous tip for a job well done.
* W-spouse got a new set of diamond hoop ear rings and I got a new IPhone 4S for our gifts to each other.
* Hers ear rings cost more. She deserves it for putting up with me.
* W-stepson #3 has decided to join the Marine Corps after high school. The decision has been weighing heavily on him for a year now. He wanted to try to walk on a football program somewhere, but he has decided that he just isn't ready for college right now.
* Just six short years ago he was 4' tall kid laying on his belly on skate board rolling down the hill in front of our house. Now he is a 6'4" 225 pound man, packed full of muscle. They sure grow up fast.
* Where do Marines go from this area to basic training? Parris Island South Carolina? Is that where all Marines go for basic?
* I wish I would have joined the Military straight out of high school.
* Chalk one up for the good guys!
* I thought about Jarhead when I saw this story.
* Oh really. First it's Willy and now Miley! What is the world coming to?
* Do these people know what the stove in the kitchen is for?
* Hey honey, let me throw that condom away for you dear.
* Blame it on the gas  drilling in the area.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

West of the Mississippi goes to MCRD San Diego. East of the Mississippi goes to MCRD Parris Island.

He's going to be a "Hollywood Marine."

Hey Around the Corner, stop by Wise Alignments on 730 S in Decatur when you get a chance. I have something for you for the victory win of Tony Stewart. Congrats to your step son, I remember him from Cub Scouts a long time ago.
