* The weather is absolutely wonderful today. Spectacular sunrise was seen in the East, you just had to be up early enough to see it. The weekend outlook is looking great.
* Today kicks off one of the busiest weekends in racing. With the Indy 500, and the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte both running on Memorial Day weekend.
* A comment from yesterday: ((What makes this blog better than all the others (including LL)??? He talks about NASCAR at least 2-3 times a week!!! That right there is reason enough...)) Put that in your pipe and smoke it Jarhead!
* That trend will continue until at least November/December at the very least.
* So far there are no NASCAR sanctions imposed on Kyle Busch for his shenanigans last weekend. My opinion, I don't think they should get involved with anyones "off the track" legal issues. I do feel like they need to either release a press statement, or have a press conference stating that they in no way condone any illegal behavior. NASCAR drivers seem to be held to a higher standard than NBA, NFL, or NHL player, and I hope it stays that way.
* I didn't say that NASCAR drivers behave any better, but you NEVER hear of them getting caught with a gun or having a shootout in a strip club.
* Trevor Bain continues to be absent from driving due to the issues he had from the spider bite. I know exactly how he feels. I was off work for 11 days and in the hospital for 4 days with my incident. He is expected to return the first week of June.
* W-spouse and I got the boat out yesterday and started preparing it for the summer. We will have to buy a new cover this year. The old one had a few tears in it from all the high winds. The batteries were still charged, but not enough to start the engine. It needs a good washing inside and out also.
* The new AC was installed by Dons AC at our house yesterday. It worked very good last night. The only complaint we had, albeit a small one, was that the inside blower unit was somewhat louder than the older one. A big plus was that it was shutting on and off instead of running from 10am till midnight without shutting off. They added another vent in the back family room to circulate more air in that area and it seems to have helped temendously.
* I probably need to keep this in mind for future reference.

Jarhead is ok...for a jarhead. I gotta admit his post on Jarhead III's questionable fashion choice made me piss my pants...and i was at work in dockers... :-(
It is hard to sanction NBA players when so many are already in jail.
NASCAR, the All American Sport and you don't have to be a physical monster to participate!
