Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Storms are forecast again today. Not as high of a chance as yesterday though.
* There was a  lot of damage around Wise County yesterday. Looked like tornado damage to me, but I'm no Harold Taft so I can't be for certain.
* Some trailer houses in Chico looked totally demolished, and the rig operator on my rig had a box reefer trailer out behind his house in Slidell and the high winds tunrned it over.
* Papa Harold was sitting/setting in his pickup in the driveway when the wind hit and he said he thought the pickup was going to float away. He doesn't get excited about anything other than Crappie fishing, so that's saying a lot from him.
* W-baby momma and W-baby daddy have a bet going on which one of them loses the pacifier first. Well, W-spouse and I already lost it, so I got online and purchased 10 more of them. After doing so, we found the original. Now we have extras around everywhere. Thank God for "Binkies".
* We had a terrible time yesterday with the well I'm working on. Right during the middle of the storm. Normally we shut down during a storm with lightning, as we did yesterday. When things slacked up we got back out in the rain and got to a point of no stopping. Then it started lightning again. When the rig pusher showed up, he made us shut down and we left it all over night. When we came in this morning, the tubing was unstuck and we came right out with no problems. Better start to the day I say!
* My sister text me last night and told me that while watching tv last night in her new home in Ft Madison Iowa, she turned and looked out the sliding glass door and there stood a racoon staring back at her. He was probably wondering who invaded his home. Either that or catching up on American Idol.
* Mr. Answers, we missed you last night at the Life Group. I might even go as far to say as I missed you.
* This happened to W-spouse and I one time. Except it was me on the hood.
* I can't even imagine what these parents are going through, and what that innocent child had to endure. It would be so hard to forgive him. The death penalty isn't good enough for him.
* Good grief!
* Time to work a while, see ya Around The Corner!
