Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone
The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind (Lake Edition)
* I come to you with a heavy heart this morning. Last night we all received a text from our secretary (Managers wife) with the tragic news of the death of one of our co-workers. He was down in South Texas working the night shift on a drilling rig. Yesterday he had went to the bunkhouse to catch a nap and someone went to wake him up and found him dead. He was very skilled in our trade and just three days ago had returned from a big job in Mexico. He could work offshore and overseas and not long ago he was telling me about a job he had been on years ago overseas. I spent a month last year living, and working with him in Pennsylvania. His knowledge of our job astounded me and I can only hope that someday I will be able to achieve what he learned in such a very short time. Please keep his wife and their children in your prayers this weekend as they struggle now to start over without a father and husband. Joe, you will be missed and it was truly an honor to have gotten to know you.
