Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

W - you jumped right into the middle of a post that's been rattling around in my mind.

Not B&C per se, but the public's fascination, and frequently, sympathy, with unsavory characters, e.g. D. B. Cooper (at first that sounded like an alternate bass tuning), Billy the Kid, Charlie Sheen.

Although I've met Clyde's sister at some gun shows (irony?) 15-20 years ago - nice lady - the fact is that B&C remorselessly killed innocent people who got in their way of stealing other people's money. Hollywood's spinning of their story into 'a tale of tragic love' doesn't negate that fact.

Having seen both the movie and documentaries, I agree it's an entertaining story. But I can't say that I'd want to meet my Maker after doing what they did.

Setting aside B&C, though, there certainly are times when it might, or even must, be appropriate to take actions that are contemporarily against the law.

Civil disobedience, I believe it's called.
