Have you ever observed, performed or participated in the Mardis Gras festivities?
Do you observe Lent?
Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone
The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

Yes to the Mardi Gras...and no to Lent
No. Yes.
No. Never. Have no desire.
Lent? Yes, during my childhood.
I've never gotten to participate in the madness of Marti Gras. TRD was working in New Orleans in '09 and invited me but at the last minute I had to cancel.
Don't observe Lent, but I'm sure I will find some pancakes or donuts to celebrate Fat Tuesday with!!!!
i have observed and participated... never performed... my performing would make for a very small MG crowd! i miss going... i miss collecting the beads and other junk...
lent... being raised a "good" Catholic i always observed lent... but not so much in the last few years... fridays i usually remember NO MEAT after 1/2 the burger is down... sheesh!!
no and no
I have been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans......it's crazy!
The parades are so much fun. The best food ever! I do observe Lent and always give something up. This year I am giving up meat. Wish me luck!
I;ve worn beads, and hav e lent in my dryer. ;-)
Our Catahoula (state dog of Louisiana) is Named Mardi (Gras)
My religion doesn't do lent.
Accidentally stumbled on the Mardi Gras parade in Galveston on February 26 this year. It was wild and crazy but still family friendly. Had a blast!
Participated in Mardi Gras in a couple of countries in the Gulf of Mexico, observed in New Orleans, Detroit and Chicago among others.
Love the Fat Tuesday!!!
Yes to the Lent but very poorly.
No and no.
I love the idea of Mardi Gras, party in the streets, everyone is happy and having a good time, no one is a stranger...
I fear I have passed the window of enjoyment. The more mature (lol) I become the less I enjoy large drunken crowds, and the 2 "F's": fighting and flashing... let's just say that the horror of gravity makes me jealous. Perhaps just a visit to New Orleans would do with stroll down Burbon Street.
No and no
Sheeez dear.....you take the fun out of everything ;-)
Oh...And BTW....ratherbesailin'....Is that you Mojo?
Yes, when I was about 16, and again in 2001 - sorta fun to watch if you keep from getting too caught up in it.
Not so much on the Lent.
