Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

Question Of The Day

Close your eyes a moment and think of where you are right now. Think about your family, your job, your church. Think about all the things going on in your life whether it be kids, money or anything else.
Then picture yourself 7 years from now being 25 Billion dollars richer like the creator of Facebook.
How would it change you?

I would make up for all the years I've had to tell my girls "No baby, I'm sorry, we can't afford it".

I would also wear better shoes.

Answers? I don't know the questions. said...

I have two answers, one smart a** and one serious.

The smart a** answer is "What was your name again"?

The serious one is that I would use the money as directed by the Holy Spirit.

At the moment, as I wait in a waiting room waiting to hear about my niece, I would spend it on the best doctors in the world and find out what's going on to cause her such pain.

I would Buy My Mom a new House and Car (no I'm not a Black Rapper) I would buy all the nice things my Wife never asks for but I know she wants, because she hung w/ me all the years when we couldn't..she deserves it..

My husband and I both have large families with money woes. I would help them all out, pay for my niece's and nephew's college, get our parents new cars and anything they wanted, and travel, travel, travel! I would also seek out those less fortunate that never ask for handouts and help them out.

Oh how life would be so much more enjoyable..My husband would quit his job in a heart beat, and we would take care of our parents bills, and build us a new house, buy our children cars, and set enough money for college for all the kiddos and for our nephews and nieces..

i would like to be all humanitarian here and say i would donate it for research, build homeless and battered women's shelters.. .provide food for millions, etc....

but honestly? i would make sure that i am set up and provided for ... a place to live, money set aside for insurance, meds, treatments in foreign countries... a home that is handicap accessible ... i hate to think my family will have to provide my care and fund it as well...

That was a good movie, from my perspective it wasn't the money that changed the creator of facebook, but rather being cool...accepted, a part of, included, highly esteemed.
The money...I would do all the things previously stated, make contributions where the most percentage of a dollar goes to those who are in need, to veterans, to civil servants. Make good investments in business as well as people. And last but not least, buy a front row parking spot at Wal-Mart. No more driving around, jockeying for a close spot. Oh yeah, and I would hire someone to keep the buggies away from my vehicle, whichever one I decided to drive that day.
It's good to dream, now back to reality, gotta run, it's time to switch out the laundry from the dryer to the couch, from the washer to the dryer!

Honey, I totally agree with you on the perspective of the movie. Therin lies the question. I was really looking for more how it would change you personally, not really who we would all donate to and spend it on.

It would probably make me even more cynical (and I already struggle with that) as I would suddenly have a lot more "friends."
However a really neat sailboat would take some of the sting out of that.
