Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* 38 Degrees this morning. You will need a jacket to break the wind chill. This weekend is going to be beautiful.
* Back working this morning, but things are getting slow again. I hope that our rig doesn't get released. The way it sounds, things are still booming in PA, I may have to go back for a while. I dont HAVE to, I GET to!
* Our friend that has been in the hospital the last two weeks got to come home yesterday. Prayers answered.
* The guy I work with whose wife is in the hospital, she is doing a little better. They took her off the sedatives yesterday, and reduced her oxygen level more. The was responsive yesterday and even opened her eyes. More prayer answered.
* I checked on Mr. Answers yesterday because I haven't heard from him in a week. He had been out of town last traveling, and was also sick over the weekend. He's back up to his old self again and we hope to hear from him soon.
* I took the welder on its maiden voyage late yesterday. It pulls straight as an arrow and doesn't road walk at all. I was a little worried about it having to much tongue weight, but we got it equaled out very well.
* Yesterday found W-spouse and I watching two Oscar nominated movies. Inception and The Social Network.
* Inception: Long, long, long, long, hard to follow, made me think way to much. I have to go along with a friend of mine to say that "Leo sucks". I did like the zero gravity action and fight scenes. That was neat.
* The Social Network: Now this movie was intriguing to me because I am a big fan of Facebook and have also read the story leading up to, and the invention of FB. The movie seemed to match what I remember to have read. I really liked the movie and so did W-spouse.
* Tonight we watch Winters Bone.
* I would like to see 127 Hours this weekend and also The Kings Speech, but I dont think it is out on DVD and I don't want to go to the cinema.
* There is no excuse for this.
* Don't you hate it when a song is playing along on a commercial and it gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
* Sometimes while driving along I will usually blurt a song out, usually just the lyrics. W-spouse usually replies with "That's enough there Spunky".
* W-spouse goes back to therapy today. She's starting to walk close to normal again, but still has a little "hitch  in her get along".
* I will be glad when she's able to cook again. I'm tired of all this cooking every night. That driving to McDonalds and Sonic is rough on a guy.
* What an idiot!
* For those of you that are Laughlin bound. Be careful and have a fun trip.
* Have a great Friday and see ya Around The Corner!

First, I was a little startled when I clicked on your "no excuse for this" link and the headline said "Answers wanted in fire". Second, it made me apprehensive to click on your "idiots" link.

Thanks for checking on me. You are a good friend.

I went and saw 127 hours this week and let me just say it was PAINFUL!!! That may be an obvious statement if you know the story behind the movie but for me I really like going to the movies to escape and that movie left me feeling very somber walking out. It was a thought provoking movie but also painful to watch.

When an unwanted song gets stuck in your head, try this: sing " itsy bitsy spider" all the way through and it will clear your mind of all distractions.
I started doing this when my wife kept humming the same tune over and over. Now she uses it on me.
Very effective.
