The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* 63 degrees with a howling South wind this morning. Gusting at times to 30mph.
* Yes we primed the welding trailer with spray paint. I couldn't get any automotive primer paint Saturday in a gallon. I could have driven to the Metromess, but didn't have time, so I opted to spray can paint it. It has three coats and should be enough for a good base for the paint. From start to finish it took about 3 hours total.
* W-spouse is going to pick up some paint, thinner and hardener today. If time allows, one evening this week I will put one coat of paint on it, and maybe by the end of the week the trailer will be finished.
* I'm not used to holding a seven pound grinder for hours on end. My arms are sore today. I feel it just turning the steering wheel.
* Our friend that has been so sick is recovering. She is going to be moved to a rehab facility today. She got on FB yesterday and left a message to her friends. She called me on Sunday. She is doing better, but wants to be doing so faster.
* My B-in-law that lives in the Woodlands has been promoted within his company. They will be relocating to Ft Madison Iowa. Look way down in the Southeast corner of Iowa and you will see it. Congratulations to him, and my sister.
* W-sister has tickets to the CMAs this year. Yeah, I'm jealous. W-brother-in-law doesn't get to go now because of a scheduling conflict. So sister asked one of our cousins to go with her. Yeah, I would have went, but didn't get asked. My sister is kind of yuppie, and probably didn't want to be seen hanging out with a bald, fat guy in overalls at  the CMAs.
* I really wouldn't have went and she knows it. As much as I would like to see the event, I have gotten to where I don't care much for the Nashville sound. There are two things that I would like about actually being there. One, being in Vegas. Two, being in the same room with Reba!
* That is something she has always wanted to do and her husband bought tickets for her Christmas present. I'm proud for her to be able to go and hope her and cuz have a wonderful time. Oh, and BTW sis, dress up. You may not get this chance again.
* I have some other relatives that are going to Laughlin this weekend. Makes you wonder if my family has a gambling problem. ;-)
* The Daytona 500 yesterday was one of the best races I have ever watched.
* You just thought I wasn't going to make a post about NASCAR didn't ya?
* Have a great Monday. Stay safe and see ya Around The Corner!

What in the heck is someone from Ft Madison Iowa doing reading this blog? Please tell me how you found it, or how you came to read my blog. Thanks for the information. She reads the comments daily and I think they are headed that way next week to find somewhere to live.

It was amazing to see how much faster the pairs were than a solo car. What happened to getting 4 or 5 of them lined up? Did you see the car that had North Texas Pipe as the primary sponsor. That must have eat up their ad budget for the foreseeable future.

Not sure why my brother thinks I am a yuppie, but I guess my moving back to small town no where in Iowa will change that status. I would love he talk further with blog reader from Fort Madison. It is funny, everyone I talk with about the move, the first thing they say to me is "Oh, it is cold there." Thinking I know that by now. I will for sure have to have some new duds to wear to stay warm. Houston weather does not compare in that department. Well we have already lost the option on one rental house. We will keep looking. As for the ACM awards, Yes, I did ask someone other than my brother, not sure how we would make it for four days by ourselves in a strange city. Anyone think we would kill each other before it was over? Just kidding. You would not have gone without W-spouse anyway. I am bummed my spouse cannot go, but I will have a great time with my cuz!!!
