Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Good morning Blog friends. It was showing 12 degrees by the time I got to look this morning. Normally, I look at the temperature around 5:30-6 am. This morning I was still laying in bed. Light snow in the forecast for tommorow and a few times next week. COLD WEATHER GO AWAY! LEAVE NOW, I DEMAND IT!
* I bet that works.
* When I finally got up, I prepared breakfast for the family. Fried eggs, sausage and bacon (thanks to W-mom and Papa for the Kennedys), and pancakes. I had a giant glass of milk and W-spouse had her diet Dr Pepper. W-stepson slept through the wonderful smell of breakfast wafting through the camp(<---Deadwood reference) .
* I slipped on one of my many trips across the hospital parking lot yesterday. I didn't go down, but in catching myself, I tweaked something in my lower back. Pray that it will just fade away........as in soon.
* Last night as I was preparing the bed for W-spouse to get in it, she had gone to the bathroom. Next thing I hear was a crashing sound. OH CRAP, as I run in there. NASCAR TALK COMING UP: One of her stabilizer bars(crutches) had gotten two turns off and she hit the wall doing 180mph (she fell and landed against the wall) but with all the safety devices she was wearing (extra padding in the front and rear) and her safety crew (me lifting her back up) she just had a minor brush with disaster. She is a little sore this morning, but still doing great.
* Madison is doing great and sounds a lot better. She is taking breathing treatments at home and is still on antibiotics for a few days. W-baby Momma sends this message in the comments. She made me tear up. I'm a softie as TxTrigger says, when it comes to those grandkids.
* The guys at work are still off. I bet the location is frozen solid.
* The major roads were getting better late yesterday, but the side roads were worse than on Tuesday.
* We pulled a 1 ton Dodge 4 door dually out of a ditch with W-stepsons 1/2 ton Dodge yesterday. We were both boasting about that afterwards.
* Heat pump type climate control systems don't work very good when it's this cold.
* Our electricity never went out yesterday. Seems like everyone I talked to, that theirs had went out. One of the guys that I work with lives in Springtown and his was out for 8 hours yesterday.
* Thanks again for all the prayers for Madi and Whit. See ya Around The Corner!

I'm betting the padding remark will cost you.

I'm stymied as to how everyone's electricity has gone out, onto blackout rotations, etc.....we haven't even had a blink! I guess we're on the Alien Grid? ;-)
