The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* For those of you reading this that don't live in Wise County, it is 18 degrees at my house this morning. Sleet, ice and snow are covering everything from my view out the windows. The wind is howling and according to the weather station, the wind chill factor is 1 degree.
* I have had the scanner on since 6 am and it's unusually quiet. Everyone must be hunkered down and staying inside.
* I've talked to W-baby mom at the hospital this morning and Madison is doing a little better. Her breathing is still labored, but better than last night. She's had multiple breathing treatment through the night. Thanks for the prayers, Gods healing hand is with her I know.
* W-spouse has not had any pain post op. Her MO is to usually be very nauseous coming out from under the anesthesia. She wasn't sick and has not had any pain. Again, Gods healing hand at work.
* Tammy Dombek has had a nose job since she started with channel 5. She looks pretty good this morning though.
* I had planned to be off work with W-spouse this morning. That was good planning. They are shut down today anyway.
* The scanner just said 287 northbound at The road side park is shut down. Some trucks are blocking the road.
* I would hate to be showing pigs at the stock show today. Might be a good idea for them to reschedule that.
* W-spouse was awake nearly all night. She's sawing logs now.
* I'm going to try to make my way to the hospital in a little while and will update later about Madison.
* Thanks so much for all the well wishes and prayers. See ya Around The Corner!

Praying that you have safe travels to the hospital today. The roads out here in wise county are horrible, but we still made it to breakfast at Tater Junction.

Sending up prayers for the baby as well.

Good day not to work on a drilling rig, huh?
Your right, everyone must be hunkered down this morning. We ran through Wal Mart last night. I haven't seen so many empty shelves since y2k.

Can't reschedule that pig or steer show. Some of those same people will be leaving next week to head to San Antonio with animals. Stock show people are tough stock, man! They can handle it! We've got relatives and many friends who actually came to FW a day early (yesterday) to beat the icy roads, even though it mean sleeping in their vehicles in the trailer line. We did hear that the stock show actually opened the barns at 3yesterday afternoon for them to start unloading, rather than making them wait until this morning.
So glad all your family seems to be healing!
