Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* 30 degrees on the ride over this morning, reaching in to the 60s today.
*  "Dude", seriously? I can only picture this. One of the guys off of Pineapple Express taking long hits off a bong while browsing the blogs and commenting. Or, a yuppy liberal lawyer type with nothing better to do, other than browse the local blogs and express their ignorant views or values on others.
* Yes I am fully aware that our government gives tax support to "Big Oil". Are you aware that they give tax supports to many companies? Maybe even the one that you work for?
* Ok now I feel much more ignorant for even replying back. I was going to use "stupider" in place of "more ignorant", but I didn't want to look stupid.
* The "Po Dunk" remark was funny though.
* The Donalds comment about the boat is one I have heard many times, and it's so very true. The other boating rule that a boat owner should follow is to get a large bucket (preferably 5 gallon) and hang it near the boat. Each time that you walk by the bucket, deposit $5.00 into it. Your going to need it. Trust me on this!
* W-spouse will be having surgery on her knee Monday. I get to play nurse again. I like the part where she lets me wear her scrubs and wear her stethoscope around my neck.
* If she would just let me do the surgery, it would save us a lot of money. Throw her up on the bar, pour some alcohol over her knee, grab the new Cutco knives,  run an extension cord out to the welder and fire it up for some bright lighting, and go to work.
* Right here is where she usually says "You think so Spunky"!
* Seriousy, keep her in your prayers for surgery on Monday, and while your at it, throw one in there for me while I attend to her wants and needs for a few days.
* My loan officer that I have dealt with for the last 10 years or so has moved on to bigger and better things. I now have to develop a relationship with a new one. In the words of the great Liberally Lean............BEAT DOWN.
* I have a Toshiba 17" laptop that I use at work. I need to upgrade. By upgrade, I mean downsize, I don't like this 17". It's heavy, drains battery power fast and is just to bulky to get around easily. One of the rig crew that I work with just bought a used Sony Viao. I played with it yesterday. It's nice. Anyone have an Opin on Sony laptops?
* It's going to be a beautiful day. Get out and enjoy it. See ya Around The Corner!

We have Sony Vaio at work (school) and use them ALL THE TIME (I'm not in a classroom--most of my day is spent on my computer)! Have had them for 2 years now--no problems. Just make sure you don't get Vista Operating System. (I don't think computers even come with that anymore). Lots of conflicts with Vista and the programs we use and networked printers. Other than that, great computer.

I loved my Sony Vaio when it worked, but it only lasted 2 years before the mother board died.

Get a Mac! Once you go Mac, you'll never go back!

There may be a slight difference in being a real nurse and playing nurse/patient in a fantasy although wearing the scrubs is a nice touch. If you like that, you might try policeman/prisoner.

Hold up there spunky! We'll just let a trained surgeon do it ok. Thanks for the offer. While I do think you have so many talents and are highly intelligent, stand down.
