From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was 16 degrees when I crossed Denton Creek on 380 this morning. It was not supposed to get that cold last night. I'm sick of cold weather.
* We had both of the grandkids Saturday evening. One stayed all night, the other went home around 11. We had a great time. Took Madison with us to church Sunday morning and showed her off. She was very quiet and well mannered through the service. She gets that from me!
* I told her mother that she slept right beside me in the bed all night. She didn't. She slept in her big girl bed.
* Speed Week is just 3 weeks away, and then Daytona. I'm ready for the NASCAR season to begin.
* Steelers vs Packers. That will be a good game.
* If you think that people around these parts are Cowboys fans and wear a lot of Cowboy apparel, you need to visit PA. While there last year, I noticed that they wear their Steelers apparel year round, and just about every other person had something on that said Steelers. Every store and convinence store sells Steelers apparel. They are hardcore fans.
* I'm sick of the Super Bowl media coverage already. Itt's just going to get worse. They will be doing live coverage everyday from the stadium. It's two weeks away.......sheeeez.
* Now if they were to start covering Daytona right now, I would be all "Up in That".
* On todays date in 1848, a little gold nugget was found in the California hills that began the rush out West. I wonder at that very moment, what percentage of the women living in the USA knew what gold was?
* We watched Big Love last night. I love the drama in that show. It was all over the place last night. "Wheels Off" as LL might say.
* Drama on TV is great to watch. Drama in real life is not.
* We stayed up WAY to late last night.
* A prayer was said for all my readers last night. If you are bleesed today, you can thank God. See ya Around The Corner!

Ugh, you and my husband with that NASCAR talk. Last night: "Cool, now I know who'll be playing in the SuperBowl game...but I don't even really care. It's not the Cowboys - let's talk vroom-vroom!!"

Steelers really are raging fans. This weekend at Job#2 we had a room full of people watching the game. There were about a dozen Steelers fans alllll decked out in the clothes, brought mugs/cups with the logos on them, and they were all even waving their 'terrible towels' as they watched the game! It was crazy town.

Packers fans only decorate for Christmas in green and gold. 40,000 people show up to watch Green Bay scrimmage against themselves. Thousands of people watch the game in the parking lot after camping out to tailgate, because they don't have tickets. Streets are named after players. The stadium upgrade cost $3,000 for every man, woman and child living in Brown County (Green Bay is the size of Waco!).

Steelers fans are nothin'!
