The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. From The Corner Of My Mind

* The rear view mirror showed a high of 22 at the house and a low of 16 when I crossed the cattle guard into the location this morning. It is supposed to warm up to 50 today. I wouldn't be upset if that happened in the next 30 minutes.
* Testing was performed yesterday at the newly paved Daytona Speedway. RPM may be the only one that understands this, but a top speed of 197.78 MPH when two cars got together and drafted. That is probably at the very high end of what NASCAR officials want to see.
* They will be running a new style car this year, even though you may see them as "cookie cutter", the changes are drastic. New front ends, new rear bumpers and such. They even lowered the restrictor plate setting for Daytona and the speeds were higher. Not one driver didn't like the new paved track. That is going to be an exciting race in a few weeks.
* My favorite driver, Tony Stewart #14, races all over the world in the off season and was in the "Land Down Under" for a month or so racing Sprint Cars. On the last night of racing he got into an altercation with the track operator there. He spoke about it yesterday during the drivers press confrence. You could tell he was embarrassed about the whole situation.
* You might say I'm getting race fever again.
* Two weeks and counting and then I will be boring you with Nascar again.
* Over at the blog Kings place, they are always getting into a religous debate. I NEVER chime in because I DON'T debate politics our religion. Almost always someone will ask "Why, if your God is so good, and so forgiving, does he allow bad things to happen"? The response varies form time to time as commentors reply back to the question. One thing they seem to never mention is this. There is Satan, and he is real. When he tests us with these obstacles, we must turn it all over to God.
* Wow........Nascar to God. I'm all over the place today.
* Shifting gears again. As you can see in the previous posts, W-spouse and I made our way down to GoGo Gumbo last night. If you haven't made time to eat there, give it a try. Carry you a bottle of wine, or a beer, if your so inclined and just enjoy some fine food. You MUST go early Thursday - Saturday. If you go after 6pm, expect to wait. Last Saturday night we got there around 7pm and there was a 2 hour wait. It's that GOOD, or that popular.
* Save room for dessert. If you are watching your diet, do it anyway.
* W-spouse wore her best Sunday jeans and her high heeled boots, a beautiful blouse, coat and scarf. Man was she smoking hot! I couldn't wait to get her home and............."Easy there Spunky" she might say!
* It's going to be wild at our house tomorrow night. No, there will be no bikini clad girls in the hot tub, both the grandkids are coming over and one is stying the night with us.
* Why do I always want to put two "m"s in the word tomorrow?
* Thank you for reading my blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend, see ya Around The Corner!

You guys are such a great couple. So pleasant to observe. =)

And yeah, um, you soooooo right-turned from NASCAR into God-talk. No pun intended...lol. I'm with you; BG love a good "controversial" debate (i.e. all things politics, religion and abortion; the three things any good etiquette guide will advise to avoid!), but debating for the sake of debating just gives my head a wrinkle.

And the "if God is so great, why are people dying in Africa" argument just makes my wrinkle deeper and my heart hurt a bit. I think God's own Heart must break all day, every day, for the people in Africa, the pipes that fall on men trying to support their families and the babies who die too young. I think the entire "Why?" debate within each observer/sufferer's heart is what He hopes will find some semblance to His own. Just my take anyway....

I saw a Mother's heart shine at a local spelling bee when her child won this morning. It made mine shine with hers....made my day begin beautifully!!

Happy Friday, Mr. Corner!!
