* 24 degrees this morning. Very few clouds in the sky as the day is breaking. I hope it warms up fast today because the last two days have been cold.
* Report on night one without W-spouse.......No wild parties, no bikini clad women in the hot tub. Just W-dog and I watching TV in bed.
* Recap on the Questions Of The Day this past week.
**I hate cold weather. I'm a warm weather guy.
**I don't have one. But you pick any one of the 18 songs off of Gary Stewarts greatest hits album, and I will agree with you.
**48. Some days I feel 60, other days I feel like a teenager.
**I work in the Oilfiled, more commonly known in these parts as the Barnett Shale play.
* Have I ever mentioned that I hate procrastinating? Well.....About 2 weeks ago W-spouse got a letter from our bank stating that her debit card and many others might have been breached. She got the new one in the mail on Monday. I put it on her chair so that when she came in she would see it, open it, put it in her purse and activate it. She saw it, opened it, but FAILED to put it in her purse or activate it. Fast forward to Thursday evening. She's in a hell fire hurry after work to get to Austin. She gets down south of Ft Worth and pulls in to Chick A Fil. Debit card no worky. Pull into ATM, no worky. Calls Mr Corner and says:
Her-"Honey my card won't work"
Me- "Did you activate it"?
Her- "Activate what"?
Me- "Your new card"
Her- "This is my old card, the new one is at home"
Me-"(*&%$*(^$^*%^%###((&*_^&%$#@@)_*^&%%%#^^^**&%%#$*&^%"
* I was, to say the least, not happy. Yet I got in my pickup and drove all the way to the 7-11 at Western Center and met her to exchange cards. After fighting all the traffic, we both arrived there and then the new card wouldn't work. I used mine and filled her tank, gave her all the cash I had, and sent her on her way with strict ORDERS to get the card activated today.
* Attention Angry Squaw.......My comment yesterday in regards to your Procrastination post went like this:
Ok, jokes on me. This is really W-spouse that has started this new blog. Nearly everything you post sounds exactly like my wife. It just dawned on me that Angry Squaw has to be my wife. You have been outed. :-)
* Angry Squaw, does ANYTHING in the above story sound like FAMILIAR?
* How does that saying go? Don't put off what you can do today.........Never mind.
* I just remembered, I didn't HAVE to drive down there, I Got to drive down there.
* I miss you W-spouse and love you, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

We recently received our new debit cards. All we had to do to activate them was use them at a POS with our passowrd or make a balance inquiry at any ATM. Done. Sorry you had so much trouble.
Ha ha ha Mr. Martyr, oops I meant Corner. While I greatly appreciate you bailing me out for the umpteenth time, I did not ask you to meet me. That was of your own volition. I was willing to drive all the way home which would give this young lady plenty of time to think about what I did and how I could have avoided the whole thing.
Have a warm day! Oh yeah, you work outside.
You're from Wise County so you don't get a pass just because it was just you and the dog in the hot tub. Was the dog wearing a bikini?
OMG you made me choke on my coffee, Mr. Corner!!!!! That was sheer greatness!!! All I have to say is, W Spouse is damn lucky to have someone that will bail her out/come to her rescue like that. When I screw up, it's alllll on me!! Hahaha. Oh, you kill me!!!!
Stay warm out there buddy. (leaning over to crank up the toasty heater near my feet) ;-)
