Question Of The Day

Also NASCAR related. Since the majority of my readers live within a close proximity of  Texas Motor Speedway, if someone gave you tickets for the Sprint Cup race on Sunday. Would you take the family and go just to see what its really like?

No your not getting mine!

Well, I did get a free ticket one year...the BF's family was in town for the TMS opening race & Dad got sick. BF asked me to come along andmeet the Fam over race cars. :) I went and actually reported back to my very provincial Mother that NASCAR seemed like a very family-oriented sport. I saw tons of multi-generational families all spending time together watching those cars go 'round. I was impressed. :)

Oh, and as to the BF Fam meet&greet? Yeah, I married 'im. :) One of our first outings after having the First Duck was back to TMS....with Mother waving "have a lovely time," from the doorway, Baby in arm.

Yep I would go. I have never been to a race before but I have tailgated out there a time or two.

Yeah, I would probably go. I have seen maybe 4-5 full races at TMS (cars, trucks, (2)IRL, and one motocross at the dirt track), some practices, and bits of several other races when I was working gates for a service group. But, to date, I've never paid to go see a race.

Just remember to call RPM and his mini-truck if you get your big 'un with the 300 gallon water jug stuck.

The noise doesn't appeal to me but the camping and visiting does. I'd go if I could kick back in a camper with a beer.
