Question Of The Day

I thought I would try to start a new post on here to stir up some comments and opinions. I will try to post a question each day. If you have one that you would like to submit, either leave it in a comment or email it to me. Label it "Question of the day".

Question: If I have to submit to a drug test before starting a new job, shouldn't anyone  have to submit to a drug test before recieving welfare/WIC/unemployment/disability etc?

Great question. This would save us (loyal taxpayers) billions. How about include drugs and tobacco. We must pass tobacco free test for great life insurance rates.

Yesterday in line at the store a woman with a young child had purchased 3 soft drinks and a Monster drink, bags of Halloween candy. Also she had purchased a Pez dispenser. The cashier ran her Texas card and told her it was a $1.38. She then became hostile and asked why she owed money. When informed it was for the Pez dispenser, she stated that it had candy in it. Candy is food isn't it. Not one think healthy to cook for her family. Please drug test them!!!!

I think that not only should be drug free but you should be alcohol and tabacco free as well. If you have money for those things then you should have money for food.

I agree as well, says one who routinely works 40 - 55 hours per week. Addendum to said question...random drug testing as well! If I/we are paying for their benefits and are required to submit to drug testing, be it on initial hire or random, so should they. The government of those people have not given them any incentive to get off welfare or break the cycle for their families. Who needs an education. Instead of the tea party I'm calling for a new found coalition of "I'm tired and I'm not gonna take it any more so let's through caution to the wind, forget our credit scores, run up our credit cards, don't wanna be responsible anymore forum". You can pick up your form to join at the same place you can get the benifits from the current whitehouse elected at "www.squat.com". lol Sorry, just blowing of a little steam. Have a nice day, don't forget to put your walmart buggies in the buggy holder.

No they shouldn't! It's not about the adults but about the kids! I don't know one child that asked " let me be born to the worst parents in the world". See we provide food cards and housing for them because it's about the kids! So no I don't want drug testing-- cause then that 5 year old's life would even suck more.

I've never been drug tested prior to being hired or at a job. I'm 41 years old. I've also never done drugs. Just saying not a lot of people are not tested. It's not a fair comparison.
