Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

Remembering 9/11

I won't be able to post tomorrow, so in remembrance of  9-11-01 I want to share some thoughts.

I remember the day like it was yesterday. I had a thousand different emotions as I went home and watched on TV in horror as the second plane hit the tower. I sat glued to the TV for 2 days, nearly non-stop. I was a volunteer fireman at the time and cried at the thought of countless firefighters and police officers that had died trying to save people. That was just one of many feelings that I had, some I couldn't begin to describe or understand. I was also mad, not so much mad at the people or group behind the act, but mad at our leaders for not being able to protect us from it. I could debate this for hours with some people and never come to an understanding with them, or answers to my questions. I felt hurt and pain for the families that they were showing on TV that didn't have any clue, or answers to whether their loved ones were alive. My emotions, I'm sure, were miniscule compared to those suffering. It continues to captivate me everytime a show comes on TV or a new documentary is made. I don't obsess over it, but I find it interesting. I know not to believe everything that is reported, but I am smart enough to know that people died, a tragedy occured, and yet some people twist and turn this violent act into some sort of morbid story for personal gain. It is my hope that in the future that the people that died, either in the private sector or professional, that they will be remembered, and honored as such.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Everyone I know can also remember exactly where they were that day. Thankfully, America is blessed.
