Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

* About 6:45 am this morning while I was having my quiet time on location two military jets flew over and scared the bejeezers(sp) out of me.
* I have many friends and relatives that served in the military. I thank the Lord that each and every one of them came home safely. My sister served in the Air Force during Desert Storm over in Saudi. If you know my sister, you would have bet a quick million that she wouldn't have made it through boot camp. She did and I am very proud of her.
* Two step-brothers also served in Desert Storm, both in the Army.
* I wish I would have chosen that path. I would be retired now after 30 years!
* STORY: Nephew of mine graduates from Air Force academy in Colorado Springs. Cousin from down south near the Gulf of Mexico that I previously mentioned, that carries a gun legally and wears a badge. He and I decide that this is a great reason for us to take a long awaited road trip. We had a blast all weekend at the Academy. When all the festivities were over we decide to go north to Estes Park and see the sights. We made the loop through Estes Park and headed back south. We made the decision then to head down to one of the little mining towns that had a casino and play a few slots. When we arrived in the town, he would pull up to a hotel and run in and tell me to wait in the truck. After doing this 3-4 times he finally came out and said "This is the one". I was wondering what he was up to and he quickly answered my question as we pulled up to the room. He jumps out and runs into the room, I get out wondering WTH? As I entered the room I looked out the back sliding glass door and there he stood standing there with a cigar and overlooking the most beautiful river running nearly right under the balcony. We just stood there for thirty minutes looking out over the mountains without saying anything. It was majestic. After hitting the casino, we came back to the room that night and slept peacefully with the patio doors wide open listening to the river. It was a time that I will never forget!
* I also have a friend that is a retired two star General in the Air Force. He has a son that is currently serving as a combat rescue officer/pararescuemen/PJ. Google that, he is one motivated individual. The training that he has been through is beyond most peoples comprehension.
* We might have the Motor Home sold. Will know more later.
* Gotta run for now, see ya Around The Corner!

This is the sister speaking. Thanks for the kind words. So you never thought I could make it huh? Well, it was the best decision I ever made. Papa Harold gave me the best advice ever when he told me to think about the military. It took mom a long time to come to terms with my decision to join, but I am 200% a better person now. Great honor to say I have served our country!
