The snake in the top picture was wrapped around a wellhead about a month ago right outside of Ponder Tx. As you can see it was laid across a shovel. Measuring the shovel will tell you approximately how long this one was. A tad over 3 feet. Looking at the markings on this one shows you the size of the patterns on its skin. You can clearly see the patterns on the snake in the bottom picture are much larger. In conclusion, I am led to believe that the snake in the bottom picture is in the 5'-6' range, maybe more, I just can't tell whether its tail is on the ground or not. If he's holding it on the end of a snakecatcher, then it's probably no more than a couple of feet long and it's just the camera angle that makes it look that big. I killed one in the early 80's that was nearly 6' long. It's girth was as big around as a 2 liter bottle of soda. I welcome you thoughts!
Supposedly this snake was killed in Weatherford on Bethel Road recently.

I don't care who you are, if you got good sense, seeing that, in real time, should freak you out.
I think that is a photoshopped picture from one going around in 2006 or 2007
I'm always real leary of posting pictures such as this. I Googled it and searched with no results. So who knows, like I said, even allowing some field of view for the camera it's still a big one.
It does look scary
I'm glad I don't live on that side of Weatherford!
Bridgeport puts out some pertty big ones.
